Sost Gojal: Chinese delegation at lunch hosted by government of Gilgit Baltistan

Sost/Gulmit (Sost Today): A 20 member delegation from China visit Pak China Sost dry port on Wednesday. The delegation was led by chairman Pak China Sost dry port Yaun Ximain. Representatives of Gilgit Baltistan government, Dr. Iqbal minister planning, Deputy speaker Jaffarullah, minister of Tourism, health, education, IT and DC Hunza Afandi  received them and had a meeting at Pak China Sost Dry port.

Vice Chairman Silk Route Dry port trust Abdul Rauf and administrator Pak China Sost Dry port Ahmed Khan were also present in the meeting.

The meeting was headed by DC Hunza, minister planning division Dr. Iqbal formally welcomed the Chinese guests.

Ahmed Khan delivered a brief presentation regarding the affairs of Pak China Sost dry port.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to enhance volume of trade among both the countries were discussed.

The Chinese delegation, which includes privates investors have planned to visit all districts of Gilgit Baltistan to explore mineral potential and willing to invest in mineral mining industry.

A source told Sost Today the visit of Chinese Delegation aims to check the security measures and to explore the investment potential in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (Pakistan site), mining, hydro power, tourism, environment and industrial development.

It is expected the Chinese will sign some agreements will government of Gilgit Baltistan during their stay here in Pakistan.

Yuan Ximain had an exclusive meeting with Dry port management. During the meeting Advocate Muhammad Tahir criticized the Yaun Ximain. Tahir said several maladministration in six different audit report. He asked the chairman about the loan obtained from National Bank of Pakistan  by mortgaging the building of Sost Dry port. Chairman PCSDP, Yuan Ximain disowned the loan and said he will visit Sost again by 25th of this month to meet VC Pak China Sost Dry port Zaffar Iqbal to resolve internal difference among the management. He said that he is willing to contribute to rise the life standard of the people of Gojal Hunza.

Yuan Ximain announced to establish an engineering institute in Sost town of Gojal Hunza.

The Chinese delegation met AC Pakistan Customs and representatives of Gojal.

Latter on the delegation was honored with lunch on behalf of GB government and visit the tehsil headquarter of Gojal, Gulmit, where they were warmly received by the people of Gulmit.
