Digital Security Training Workshop held at Karakoram Univarisity
Gilgit (PR) Digital Rights Foundation conducted a digital security workshop for the Students of Media & Communication Studies on Monday, September 03, at Karakoram International University Gilgit.
The training session was specifically designed to train future journalists in strategies to improve their digital security, including mobile phones, computers, and online communications.
While talking to Trainers of the Session, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah has said that future media professionals must be trained to be responsible, safe and ethical. They should have awareness and knowledge of cyber-crime legislation, censorship & Surveillance in order to understand the right to speech, information, and privacy as well as their limitations within Pakistan. He emphasized that it is also crucial to enable students to make informed in regards to their online activity so that they could not fall into prey of fake news and malicious propaganda.
