It was a dream of Benazir Bhuto to see Gilgit Balitistan as separate province: Qaim Ali Shah
Karachi, January 01, 2014 : Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali said that Pakistan People’s Party founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had taken keen interest in the development of Gilgit Baltistan and rendered marvellous services in this regard.
It was adream of Benazir Bhuto to see Gilgit Balitistan as separate province and on the occasion of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s anniversary, ordered for construction of separate gate for the party workers and people of Gilgit Baltistan at the shrine of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux in her life.
The CM expressed these views while talking to the Gilgit Baltistan CM Syed Mehdi Shah, who called on him at CM House Karachi Tuesday.
He said that people of Sindh has lot of respect for people of Gilgit Baltistan as such many of them are regularly visiting there for tourism purpose and assured the CM Gilgit Baltistan that people of Gilgit Baltistan province residing in Karachi or other parts of province will be provided all facilities and protection.
Shah also assured his counterpart for providing all possible help for establishment of Gilgit Baltistan House here at Karachi to facilitate the visitors of his province.
The Gilgit Balistan CM while responding to the Sindh CM said that it was because of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto and the PPPP, that had brought the people of both provinces closer to each other.
He said that due to efforts of Ex-president Asif Ali Zardari, they had been able now to control over law and order situation at the Gilgit Baltistan.
He said that now the old glories and beautiful avenues of tourism of his province were open and people from all over country were enjoying in the winter and summer season there.
