Abdul Salam and Moeen from Hunza GB shot dead in Karachi.
Karachi (Sost Today): Two GBian Killed in Karachi in an incident of robbery in the jurisdiction of Gulzar-e-Hijri Police station, near Supper Highway.
The incident took place on Thursday night, when Abdul Salam and Moeen Akhtar accompanied by another friend were retuning in a car after withdrawing cash from an ATM near Fariya Market located near Abul Hasan Asphani road.
They were stopped by three unknown armed people riding motor cycle and snatched mobiles and cash on gun point. As they show some resistance, the robbers’ strength way opened gun fire on Abdul Salam and Moeen Akher, One driving the car and other sitting with him in the front seat.
According to our source Salam received 6 bullets on his head and chest and Moeen was shot two bullets on chest. Both were expired on the spot, while the other guy sitting on the back seat remained safe in the incident.
The area was cordoned off by security agencies and search operation began. As per media reports dozens of suspects have been arrested form Gulzar-e-Hijri and other areas of Karachi.
Salam and Moeen both belongs from Hunza, Gilgit Baltistan. Abdul Salam was nursing graduate from Aga Khan University and was working as assistant Nursing Manager at Karwan-e-Hayat Hospital. Moeen Akhter was procurement manager at Bahria Town.
Dead bodies have been handover to the relatives after postpartum and dispatched to Hunza Gilgit Baltistan, where they will be let to rest in their hometown.
