Baba Ghundi wins All Gojal Tape Ball Cricket Tournament held in Karachi

KARACHI, SOST TODAY: All Gojal Tape Ball Cricket tournaments concluded here at Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah ground on Sunday, with an amusing final played between Gulmit Young Stars and Baba Ghundi, where Baba Ghundi (Chipursan) won the title chasing a huge total of 135 runs in just 9.1 over. Safdar Ali played a nock of 60 runs to make Baba Ghundi win and was declared as man of the match. Shabbir of Gulmit Young Star was declared as man of the series for his all round performance. The final contest among Baba Gundi and Gulmit Young Stars was supervised by Abid Majeed and Shahid Ullah.
The participants of the tournament were apprised by the management with awards in different categories at the final presentation ceremony. Col. Zahid Ullah was honored as chief guest at the presentation ceremony. The other notable’s guests include Noor Pamiri (Founder of Pamir Times) Jalauddin, Atta Baig, Aziz Jan, Haji Ali, Qalandar Shah and Chairman GISAK Jamil Rumi.
Speaking to the presentation ceremony, Col. Zahid said that Baba Ghundi team has set an example by their victory. The team chased a hard target of 135 runs in a limited 10 over with their hard work and dedication and sportsmanship. He said.
Col. Zahid applauded the organizer of the tournament for managing a well planned event for the youth.

Baba Ghundi: Champions
Gulmit Young Star: Runner-up
Safdar: Man of the Match
Shabbir: Man of the Serise
Best umpires: Abid, Shahid, Ali Hassan and Jaffar
Best Teams: Ghulkin and Hussaini
Youngest Player of the tournament: Shayan Ali of Baba Ghundi
Commentary: Mujeeb, Abid, Rashid and Teghun
Best supports (Senior citizens): Jalaluddin, Aziz Jan and Haji Ali
The tournament was organized by Jamalabad Students Association in collaboration with Gojal Ismaili Student Associaton Karachi GISAK. Sixteen teams participated in the tournament .
