Behavior of BISP Staff and Chitral police lamented in public meeting of APMN called by MNA Chitral.
CHITRAL: Unequal distribution of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Cards, Inhuman behavior of BISP and nepotism of Chitral police were strongly lamented during a public meeting of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) called by Member National Assembly Chitral Shahzada Iftikharuddin. The meeting was called to strengthen the party, to brief the public about the progress of MNA and to sought opinion of party workers as well as to listen grievance of public. The public meeting was presided over by Capt retired Farooqul Azam.
Addressing on the occasion the speakers strongly condemned unequal distribution of BISP card and inhuman behaviors of BISP staff. They said that there is no separate waiting room for women folk and people coming from far flung areas of Chitral even from border areas are badly treated by BISP staff at Chitral office. They snub and insult these poor people who visiting the office regarding renewal and activating of missing and blocked cards of BISP. They demanded from the Prime Minister of Pakistan for taking action against these irregularties and inhuman attitude of staff. Most of BISP card has been distributed among rich and influential persons. It is worth to mention here that a number of people complained that most of BISP staff were recruited by then PPP government on political basis.
The speakers also condemned nepotism of police station Chitral and Station House officer. They said that Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner and District Police Officer already forwarded their decision about imposing of section 145 regarding banning cutting of forest and grazing of goats at Singor area. The letter was marked to SHO police station Chitral but he got heavy bribe from opponent group and not executed order of district administration they alleged.
They also criticized failure of Golain water supply scheme and demanded for conducting inquiry in this regard because 360 million rupees were spent on water supply scheme but people are still deprived from potable drinking water. They pointed out that during Pakistan People’s Party regime their leaders getting bribe even in recruitment of class-IV staff.
They said that police harassing poor people who have a simple 12 Bore gun for hunting purposes but they never took action against those who selling narcotics (Hashish) openly.
The speakers also criticized Khalid Parvez president APML who not attending phone of his workers. As well as there is no party office at Chitral They said that loan is not giving to jobless youth of Chitral and their criteria is very lengthy and complicated. As a result a large number of youth were deprived from this facility.
They said that hundred people of Singor were harassed due to apathy of Chitral police and visiting offices for justices. By pass road could not complete while drainage also chock and blocked. They also criticized poor condition of NHA road, Torkho, Mastuj roads. MNA Shahzada Iftikharuddin assured party workers and general public for redressing these issues by raising these issues on the floor of National Assembly.
They also criticized poor performance of Nongovernmental organizations working at Chitral who in papers spent a huge amount but progress is zero.
