Civil society of Gilgit Balistan living in Karachi demands to give harsh punishment to the murders of Husnain
Karachi, November 24 (Sost Today Report) The people of Gilgit Baltistan living in Karachi recorded a protest in against the sexual abuse and murder of an eight year old boy Hasnain, front of Karachi press club on Sunday.
Hasnain a resident of Majhini Mohla Gilgit was sexually abused and then killed by on November 7.
People from different walk of life participated in the demo. Agha Bahshti, Shah Jee Karar, Shehzad Baig, Khursheed, Jamil Rumi, Ali Ahmed Jan and Aman Khan were notables among them. The protesters strongly condemned the inhuman act took place in Gilgit this month. They said this kind of incident has been took place in past as well and no one get punishment, that is why this sort of crime is increasing rapidly. If the criminal would have been punished in past, so today we would have not this incident.
The security of lives of citizen is the responsibility of the state. The educational institutions and parents has vital role in the character building of their children, unfortunately non professional educators are working in most of the educational institutions of Gilgit Baltistan, this is the area, where we lack. They demanded the Government to establish organizations to train parents, teachers and students, organize sessions to give awareness to stop these kinds of incidents and to impart moral and ethical value to then generation. The speakers at the protest said evil can’t be linked with any specific creed, color or race. The evils in the society can be eliminated with unity only. They further said that Government and scholars should play their role to eradicate social evils and the three accused teen agers must get harsh punishment as per law.
Afterward speaking to the correspondent of Sost Today, Ali Ahmed Jan said that people of Gilgit Baltistan are deprived from basic human rights. State is responsible in providing safe guard to her citizen. Even we are not permitted to raise our voice. He added.
Jamil Rumi told that Gilgit Baltistan police should be apprised in this case, they have arrested the criminals. Now it is up the court and the Government how they further precede this case and give them punishment. He said.
