When there is a will there is a way!
“I do not believe in luck, but dedication, honesty and determination. I started my education in a Government Primary School located in my village Goharabad, Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan. Till class third, I studied in Urdu medium. After that, I moved to a private English medium school, but unfortunately it was too difficult for me to study in English medium because I was even not aware of English letters (Alphabets) at that time. So, I told my teachers and parents that I would continue my studies in Urdu medium. Therefore, I got admission in DJ Middle School Gitch which used to take almost 2 hours daily to reach from home on foot.
When I passed class 8th, a new school was established in Gahkuch, Ghizer. It is considered as one of the best Institutes for quality education in the entire region. But, it was not easy to get admission in that School. I really worked days and nights to pass the admission test of this institute. As my family background was not financially well at that time that’s why my parents resisted to allow me to enroll in this school. But, I was very much crazy to get admission in this school. Luckily, one of my brothers came forward and helped me through it.
I did my secondary and higher schooling from this institution. After that, I was selected for the National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP), a prestigious scholarship offered to meritorious and needy students to study the bachelor studies at IBA, Karachi. However, I refused the offer, instead got admission at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology to study Chemical Engineering. I got scholarships from the London Foundation and Dawood Treasurer for high achievement in examinations.
After fours years of my study at the university, I became the first female Chemical Engineer from Gilgit-Baltistan, and joined Yunus Textiles Mills, Karachi. Recently, I won Chinese Govt Scholarship for my MS in Chemical Engineer” via GhizerPoint
