Gems stone cutting, Polishing and fashion, design competition held in Chitral

CHITRAL| SOST TODAY | 50 females participated in Gems stone cutting, polishing and fashion, design and cutting competition at CAD office Chitral. The competition was organized by Creative Approach for Development (CAD) with financial support of National Vocational Training Commission a project of federal government under Prime Minister Youth program to enhance skill capacity of youth of Pakistan.
Nadia Tabassum stood first in fashion designing competition among the 25 female participants. While Fatima Ali secured fist position in gems stones cutting and polishing where 25 female participated in this competition. Addressing on the occasion Shahzada Mudasirul Mulk said that skill competition was held for women folk of Chitral on first time by CAD. He said that due to such trainings and competition they want to boost and enhance hidden skill in women folk to promote them and to enable them for gaining their livelihood with a honor way.
Talking to this scribe the first position holder Nadia Tabassum said that she got 6 months training of sewing, fashion designing etc and now she participated in this competition and she is very happy to stood first. She said that by learning these skills we enable to gain our livelihood and to not depend upon our male members of family.
Fatima Ali said that there is very charming scope for gems stone cutting and polishing for women folk and we can run our own business and can bear our expenditure by small enterprises. She said that there are numerous quantity and quality of precious stones at Chitral and the government can eradicate unemployment from the country especially from backwards areas like Chitral by giving such opportunities to women folk to get training and start their own business. Shahzda Musaddarul Mulk distributed awards and medal among position holders women of these competition.
