Gunmen target session judge in Gilgit-Baltistan
DIAMIR: Gunmen on Sunday opened fire on a vehicle carrying a session judge and his family in Dirmir district of Gilgit-Baltistan region.
According to Abbtak New, Judge Malik Inayat and his family members remained unhurt in the attack.
The TV channel reported that the session judge was going to attend a funeral of constable Arif Hussain when his vehicle was targeted.
Constable Arif Hussain embraced martyrdom on Saturday in the operation underway against the culprits involved in school attack in Diamer district of Gilgit Baltistan.
Police said they have launched a search operation to arrest the attackers.
Further, raids have been ongoing in the area in a bid to arrest suspects involved in the attack on over a dozen girls’ schools on Thursday night.
Gilgit-Baltistan police said 31 suspects have been arrested so far for involvement in attacking schools in the area.
