ISLAMABAD (PR): Minister of State for Education and Training Baligh ur Rehman on Wednesday said that Basic Eduction Community School (BECS) should be up scaled as government is focusing on quality of education.
He said this while speaking as a chief guest in an event of BECS Inter-School Competition to celebrate the Pakistan Resolution Day here, said a press release.
He congratulated the entire team of BECS for putting up such a wonderful show to encourage these under privileged students.
The Minister distributed awards among the students who got positions in different competitions (Naat Khuwani, poetry recitation and debates) all over Pakistan. Children from FATA, AJK, KPK and Baluchistan grabbed maximum awards.
Speaking at the occasion Baligh ur Rehman said that BECS survived and performed with great dedication and devotion in educating these children.

He said we have full support of Prime Minister, Federal Minister Planning and Development, and Federal Minister Finance, and are quite hopeful about the future of education in our country.
Minister of State said that Multi grade teaching mode has been popularized in countries like EU and we have adopted this system quite successfully.
Further he added that education without the character building make a person literate but does not educate him/her; therefore we want to educate our people to make them better human beings.
He said it’s a great honor to have seen doctors and engineers coming out of these non formal schools who started off their journey of learning without any infrastructure, furniture and honorarium, he added.
