Pak China border closes for trade till April 2015
Report: Ali Nazar
On Monday large number of people cross the Sino Pak border and many consignments reach Sost Dry port.
The border will reopen for trade in April. The custom source said the trade volume was slightly higher with compare to 2013. It could not reach to expected level due to blockage of KKH at Attabad. They said.
The Pak-China border usually closes on December 31 every year and reopens on May 1, as part of an agreement (border protocol) signed in 1985 by both countries. The agreement was signed in view of the climatic conditions of the mountainous region through which bilateral trade activities take place.
