Chitrali got this honorary Associate Fellowship Degree for his remarkable contribution in Pakistani languages. He is the only Pakistani who received the Associate Fellowship Degree from the Royal Commonwealth Society, London.
Rehmat is one of the pioneers of Pakistani languages Wikipedias in sub-continent, and created the Khowar Language Wikipedia, invented a unique computer programe which can be used to type as many as 40 languages of Pakistan with a single platform free of cost.
Rehmat Aziz Chitrali is a double Gold Medalist, many national and international award holders, Linguist, Mother Language activist and youth activist has been awarded the distinction of Honorary Degree of “Associate Fellow” of the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) Great Britain, London. According to details Lord Howell of Guildford, President and Michael Lake CBE Director Royal Commonwealth society signed the Associate Fellow (Degree of Honor) issued in the name of Rehmat Aziz Chitrali in recognition of his outstanding services in the fields of language & culture documentation, literature, science, information technology and software development and for commitment to promoting the values of the commonwealth and working to improve the lives and prospects of commonwealth citizens. The Associate Fellow is an International Honorary Degree awarded by the Royal Commonwealth society (RCS) Great Britain. Rehmat Aziz Chitrali termed his International honour of Associate Fellow (Degree of Honour) awarded by the Royal Commonwealth Society London as an honour for him, and he dedicated this award to his beloved country Pakistan.
Rehmat Aziz Chitrali has also been awarded National and International Awards and Gold Medals i.e. Shandoor Award, Chitral Human Development Award, Rising Star Award, Innovative Initiative Youth Award, International Innovation Award (Germany), Yasirullah Shaheed Award, Pride of the National Award & Gold Medal, Dr.A.Q.Khan Gold Medal Award and N-Peace Prize(Nominee) and Queen’s Young Leaders Award(Nominee). The members of Civil society, poets, journalists, intellectuals and authors demanded the Government of Pakistan for conferring President Award for Technology and Pride of Performance for setting world record by inventing software for 40 languages of Pakistan that can be used to type in as many as 40 languages of Pakistan. He is the first person in the world to create linguistic software which allows the typing of 40 languages at a single platform.
